Image poem:
The Two Fridas by Frida Kahlo
Under a stormy sky
They sit
Side by side
Gazing forward
Serene
Unassuming
One wears a native Mexican outfit
The one her husband likes
In one hand she holds a locket
The one that holds his picture
Attached to the other is herself
She wears a white European style dress
In one hand she holds a pair of medical pincers
Trying desperately to stop it
To stop the steady flow of blood
From her severed heart
Blood flows from the vein that sprouts
It won't stop
There is blood everywhere
